Baraboo High School has partnered with SSM Health – St. Clare Hospital to provide Athletic Training and sports medicine services for the district’s student-athletes for over 25 years. These services include treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, emergency care, event coverage, injury prevention programs, and education for athletes, coaches, and parents.
Cody Brunclik is currently the certified athletic trainer working with our students. He grew up in a small town in Northern Wisconsin and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in 2016. He began working with St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, as an Athletic Trainer in June 2016. He has experience working with a variety of athletes including: Division 1 college sports, junior level sports, high school athletes, youth level athletes, and recreational leagues. Cody works in the rehab clinic at St. Clare Hospital, as well as doing outreach throughout the Dells/Baraboo area. In addition to athletic training duties with Baraboo High School Athletics, Cody works with the Dells Ducks Junior Hockey program, the Tommy Bartlett Water Ski team, and with numerous special events throughout the area.
Cody values giving back and serving his community. In December 2016, Cody earned his EMT licensure and has been a volunteer EMT ever since. In January 2018, Cody continued his education and earned his Advanced EMT licensure.
If you are looking for Cody, you can find him on the sidelines covering home games and contests for Baraboo Athletics. Cody will be on-site at BHS Monday-Friday from 2:00-6:00 pm. Athletes and/or parents with questions are invited to stop in and see him in the Athletic Training Room after school or call to arrange a visit outside of normal after-school hours.
